*Lead Packers are required to have previously packed or helped as a warehouse assistant as well as to complete a short training session with us*
Lead Packers help organize the volunteer groups to make the packing event go smoothly and efficiently. There are 1 - 3 Lead Packers at every event, depending on the size of the event. If you would like to have a regular volunteer opportunity, this might be the perfect job for you. This is an easy commitment, either during the week or on the weekends. Packing events are usually 1 ½ to 2 hours. Your extra commitment would be arriving 30 minutes prior to the event and staying 15-30 minutes after the event.
Our packing events are typically on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Additional days might be added based on need. You can volunteer once or twice a month (or more). This is also a great way to become more involved at FITB. There are also opportunities to sign up to be a volunteer driver, Holiday Backpack Team Member, or part of one of our committees throughout the year.
